Avenstill is designed around a simple rule: your camera should help you without becoming our data.
1. Who we are
Avenstill Software (“Avenstill,” “we,” “us”) provides the Avenstill desktop application and the website at avenstill.com. Contact us at [email protected].
2. Camera and on-device analysis
When you start a work session, Avenstill may use your camera to detect whether a face is visibly present and to estimate limited workday signals used for calibration and reset timing. Camera frames are processed locally on your device in volatile memory and are discarded immediately after analysis.
We do not upload, store, sell, or use camera images or video to train models. Avenstill is not designed to identify who you are and does not create a biometric identity template.
3. Information stored on your device
The application may store settings such as reset intervals, calibration values, application preferences, reset counts, and local diagnostic information. This information remains on your device unless you deliberately include it in feedback.
4. Website and feedback information
If you submit feedback, we collect the category, message, optional email address, optional application version and operating system, and the time of submission. Do not include camera images, medical records, passwords, license tokens, or other sensitive information.
Our website infrastructure may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as request metadata and security logs. The feedback database does not intentionally store your IP address.
5. Payments and subscriptions
Purchases are expected to be processed by Paddle as merchant of record. Paddle processes payment details, billing identity, tax information, invoices, refunds, and subscription status under its own privacy terms. Avenstill does not receive or store complete payment card numbers.
6. How we use information
- Provide and maintain the application and website.
- Respond to support and feedback.
- Confirm subscription status and prevent license abuse.
- Diagnose failures and improve product reliability.
- Meet legal, tax, security, and fraud-prevention obligations.
7. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share limited information only with service providers needed to operate Avenstill, such as Cloudflare for website infrastructure and Paddle for billing, or when required by law.
8. Retention
Local application data remains until you clear it or uninstall the application, subject to operating-system behavior. Feedback and support messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, improve the product, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
9. Your choices
You can pause the work session to stop camera access, deny camera permission in Windows, clear local diagnostics, avoid providing an email address with feedback, and request access or deletion of personal feedback information by emailing us.
10. Children
Avenstill is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Security and changes
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure. We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new “Last updated” date.
